Painting with Light

With this assignment I really just tried to experiment. My first attempt at painting with light my thought was to draw the classic angel and devil on either shoulder. I found it really hard to represent those two images especially when I was trying to draw them that small. My second attempt I decided to draw a larger image and go a lot more basic with a stick figure man. I found with the larger image I was able to show detail a lot more easily.

Studio Lighting

In these photos I tried to use the lights to highlight key features of the face to evoke different emotions. I found that my favourite photos I took were when I used only one light. I found that when I cast a shadow over only half of the subjects face it gave the photo a much different look. I think it brought out a more mysterious look in some of my pictures.
